Print journalism ‘brings’ it.

In the face of claims that the printed word is dead and in a world where blogs and tweets are the ‘new’ news, contributors to publications such as the New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker, and Wired are fighting back. In an innovative and engaging move, contributors to the printed page will gather together for a live ‘pop-up’ event tomorrow night. Following in the footsteps of the writers and poets who re-invented the written word in the 1950s and ’60s with the Beat movement, the Pop-up Magazine live event have chosen San Francisco to host the evening. It may be for one night only, but the sell-out show certainly seems to mark the beginning of a new, more dynamic era for print journalism.
