MB ventured approximately 1.3 miles across the city last night to enjoy the yearly occasion which is Clerkenwell Design Week.

Moving Brand’s very own Camilla was speaking at the Design Crime5 panel discussion over at Miilken Studio alongside Simon Gill of LBi, Steve Price of Plan-B Studio and Emma Booty of Conran. The panel acted as an antidote to ‘all the good design under scrutiny for the duration of the Festival’ by discussing crimes against design – with a nostalgia theme. Dissected were cupcakes, bad signage, 3D and the Olympics, amongst other things. The panel got suitably angered as the night went on, and as a result none of us will ever be subjected to bad signage again. Probably.

Afterwards we ventured along to friends of MB, Figtree, to enjoy a series of talks organised by the studio. Especially interesting was Simon Waterfall of Poke who discussed how the world is changing in a far more engaging and surprising way than lectures on this topic usually entail (although anyone who manages to get a clip of Louis CK in their talk is good in my books).

Thanks Clerkenwell Design Week! See you next year!
