Moving Brands was recently invited to participate in AIGA’s InsideOut SF event with top design firms from the Bay Area (insiders) and around the world (outsiders) offering their take on San Francisco in poster form.
Taking the “inside out” in a slightly different way, our design team set about visualizing neighborhood data in San Francisco as it pertained to local and visitor behaviors. Depth of data was represented by layers of matte board laser-cut with outlines of every neighborhood in the city. The result was a double-poster incorporating 3D design and data visualization.
All of the entries were brilliantly conceived and received with a great deal of excitement. Concepts ranged from an ethereal rendering of the Golden Gate Bridge peeking through the fog to “San Francisco” spelled out in iconic logos. Check out all the entries here.
We were thrilled to participate and even happier to have been a top earner for AIGA, the professional association for design, which will use the funds for scholarships, educational programming and community events, including the annual SF Design Week.
