On Wednesdays we sit down over lunch to listen to some of the most progressive, innovative, passionate or just straight up awesome people as part of our Lunch and Learn programme. Ranging from charities to cyclists to creatives, we’ve learnt a huge amount and seen some amazing work.
Over the past month our Lunch and Learn programme has focused on ‘making,’ curated by MB’s David Cameron, Senior Research and Industrial Designer. The series ranges from making as a process of idea generation, making as a form of research, as well as making to produce physical outputs.
So far, we’ve welcomed London-based studios Animade and Jailmake.
Animade are a London based animation and digital production studio that use experimentation to keep them at the forefront of their field. They talked us through some amazing client projects such as the Digital Avatars for Virgin America and some internal studio projects like frankenSim and Bathroom Boarder and amazing game Ready Steady Play.
Jailmake are a collaborative practice of 3D designers and engineers focused on strengthening the connection between nature and the urban environment. Partnering with clients like Burberry and Anya Hindmarch Jailmake employ low-fi prototyping techniques with very hi-spec technology to create anything from miniature objects to full-scale installations.
They even left us a lovely thank you note!
We always look forward to meeting inspirational people and companies so please do get in contact if you’d like to meet us over some (we can’t lie – pretty average) sandwiches.
