Earlier this year Mr. Combover and MB’s Cameron Ewing were looking for a new hobby and beekeeping seemed to be a great opportunity to learn more about nature—not to mention harvest some honey at the end of it all. For the past 6 months the two have been keeping approximately 30,000 bees on their roof in the SOMA neighborhood of San Francisco. A dozen stings and countless hours of tending later, they want to write a survival guide for urban beekeeping. They have been diligently documenting their mishaps on their blog BeeSomebody and earlier this week launched a Kickstarter Campaign to help fund their bookmaking venture. Check out their links below for more details, more videos, more pictures, and more honey.
