Some ‘making of’ brilliance

Physalia, one of the studios that contributed to the SR Partners produced ‘Resonance’ film, have just posted this incredible ‘making of’ film.

Their twenty second piece took the team 6 long weeks to create, using a flipped production process: animation came first, then each frame was printed and transformed into paper cutouts that were glued and painted, then transformed into real frames that were shot in stopmotion, controlled by their motion control system, Motion Guerrilla.

MB’s Simon, who lead the Resonance project, mentioned that the Physalia team are touring at loads of festivals globally talking about their process (and are also a bit of fun at the pub) – so keep an eye out for ’em!
