Moving Brands has been working closely with the Royal Marsden for over 6 years and the Big C is the latest outcome of this relationship.
Although its existing event, the Marsden March is a well-received and successful day, the charity wanted its fundraising event to be longer than an afternoon. The answer was a whole month for people to do something charitable.
MB provided a concept, messaging and visual identity for the Big C that owns the chosen month of September and stands out in the fight against cancer. The aim was to inspire anyone, anywhere to raise money and awareness by doing any activity that begins with ‘C’. People will cook, clean and climb in the spirit of ‘30 days. A million challenges. One letter’.
Harnessing the power of social media, encouraging people to make a ‘C’ with their hands and tweeting with #bigCchallenge, means that the event isn’t bound by any geographical restrictions. People can come together, wherever they are.
The simple but powerful ‘C’ gesture means that everyone can be involved with this great cause, from children to celebrities. In fact many stars have already shown their support including Benedict Cumberbatch, Tim Henman and Ozzy Osbourne.
