The role

We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team, you will work closely with the Management Accountant and Global Financial Controller based in London. The role is key in supporting our Finance team with daily accounting tasks.

Your responsibilities will include managing expense reports and reimbursements, entering financial transactions into our internal databases and reconciling invoices.

You will have high levels of attention to detail, professionalism and have excellent communication skills. As Accounts assistant you will work across all levels of the business. Therefore, you will be comfortable dealing with people and carry out administrative duties with accuracy and speed.

Requirements

Purchase Ledger

  • Maintain supplier records
  • Distribute purchase invoices/credit notes for budget holders to get approval
  • Check coding of / input / file purchase invoices and credit notes (+hardcopies)
  • Manage aged creditors accounts
  • Deal with supplier queries
  • Reconcile supplier statements
  • Raise cheques/BACS payments

Sales Ledger

  • Manage aged debtors accounts
  • Create and approve sales invoices
  • Allocate cash receipts to sale invoices

Expenses/Staff

  • Manage expense claim process (input and file)
  • Maintain P11D compliance

Company Credit Card

  • Manage credit card log as well as payment of card balance

Petty Cash

  • Manage petty cash
  • Reconcile on a monthly basis

Bank

  • Input cash payments and receipts daily
  • Reconcile on a monthly basis

Ad Hoc

  • VAT calculation and upload
  • Manage timesheets
  • Fixed Asset register management
  • Intercompany billing
  • Journal input/upload
